The first release of Winamp 0.2 was released in 1997 when Justin Frankel and Dmitry Boldyrev formerly students in the U.S.A, integrated Windows user interface with MP3 engine. Then Winamp grew quickly with over 4 million downloads.
Version 0.2 still works on Windows 10 32bit.
Honestly, since the very first time I was introduced to Winamp by a friend on October 19, 1999 I have tried many media players and always kept Winamp as what it is, top of the line second to none. My daughters love it 17 years later we have it as number one no other takes its place.
